I hit the jackpot the other day. I was shopping in one of those big superstores that sell everything from groceries to TVs to underwear. As usual, I cruised the shoe department, and right there, in the middle of the aisle, was a pair of women's canvas, slide-on shoes. They were obviously worn and dirty and the inside showed the imprint of some lady's dirty toes. Some girl obviously bought a new pair of shoes and left the old, soiled ones in the store. I picked up a pair of flip-flops in my size, grabbed the dirty shoes, and went to the check-out counter. |
